Hello and Welcome to the very first FinalFantasyXIII.net Competition! There are prizes to be won! Fame to be had! And Laughs to be.. chuckled?

Our very first competition is a collaboration between FinalFantasyXIII.net, and our Great Friends at Forever-Fantasy.net and FF-illumina.net. Together we're pooling our resources to come up with some worthy prizes for competitors. First we'll hit up whats up for the winners, and then I'll tell you what you have to do.

Here's the prizes up for grabs:

Grand Prize: $60 spending money at the Square Enix Online Store, or Amazon Gift Certificate (USA Dollars)
1st Runner Up Prize: $30 Amazon Gift Certificate (USA Dollars)
2nd Runner Up Prize: $10 Amazon Gift Certificate (USA Dollars)

Top 3 winners will also be listed in our Hall of Fame along side their winning entry.

This competition is dubbed The FFXIII Doodling Competition. If you recall, young people used to read the newspaper, and with it, they would draw and doodle all over them. Eye patches, mustaches, cigars, all sorts of things they would draw on the pictures in newspapers. What you have to do, is Doodle on an FFXIII Magazine Scan just like that. The 3 top competitors with the funniest/most entertaining doodled scans are selected as the winners!

Simply check out our archive of FFXIII scans, choose whichever one you like, open it in an image editing program (Paint, Photoshop, whatever), and doodle to your hearts content. When you're satisfied, save it, and email it to us at submit@finalfantasyxiii.net!

IMPORTANT RULES:

* Only one (1) entry is allowed per person. Updating your entry is allowed, but we will only use your most recent submission.

* Using typed text is NOT ALLOWED. Words are allowed, but must be written by hand (mouse/tablet).

* Importing or adding images to the original scan is NOT ALLOWED.

* All entries must be appropriate for a PG-13 audience. Any entries displaying expletive or otherwise inappropriate imagery/language will be disqualified, but if we get a lot, we may carefully post the funniest one, attached to an enormous ages 18+ warning.

* All entries must be in JPG (.jpg or .jpeg) or PNG (.png) format.

* As to avoid getting potentially sued by a loop-hole jockey, we reserve the right to cancel the competition at any time, change the rules at any time without notice, and/or not give out prizes.

* Anyone caught using multiple email addresses to submit more than one entry will be withdrawn from the competition.

Now go! Get a good scan, and start doodling! When you're done, submit your entry by emailing it to submit@finalfantasyxiii.net. Competition Entry closes July 11th. Judging may take a few days.

If you have any questions, just hit up the comments and we'll make sure to answer them. If the winner is in a hard-to-get-winnings-to country, we'll do our best to get them their somehow.

We're not only taking in Final Fantasy Fan Art submissions, but Final Fantasy user made content of pretty much any kind! AMVs, Fan Fiction, Wallpapers, Avatars, Signatures, Cosplay, all sorts of content.

Also, Episode 8 of the FXN Final Fantasy XIII Podcast went up earlier this month, and episode 9 is due on July 7th.

Haven't updated in quite a while, but we've had two more episodes of the FXN Final Fantasy XIII Podcast.

We've got a big project to reveal very soon that should lead to a lot more dA submissions, but I'm still keeping our Favourites list up to date with all the good FFXIII fanart around dA.

Myself and David went through the "fun" taste of making screen shots of the recent Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailers. We did make 1000, but we lovingly hand picked the best shots. We had photoshoppers, signature and avatar makers in mind at all times.

We kept our watermark to the bare minimum and shouldn't be in anyones way. Put a lot of work into them to make sure they are nice and high quality too, so we hope everyone will enjoy them. You can find the screen shots up for download on FF-XIII.net, here [link]

Other than that we managed to crash the website for the first time the other day! When we got the first upscaled trailers online and we payed the price of being the only place with them! >< Let's just say 60 000 people got the trailers and 700 000 attempts were made after we crashed, to get the trailers, I said "WOW".

We hope people are making their way down to the site from dA and back again, we're having a lot of fun representing our website on dA! I've found SO many great pieces of Fan Art, just look at our Favs list and you'll see!
